Tinnitus is when you perceive sound that is not being made externally.
There is no cure for tinnitus, but Janet Davila, an audiologist at The Austin Diagnostic Clinic, says the condition can be managed. The key is teaching your brain to ignore the sound.

fortunately, my “T” (15+ years and counting)…is only about a 1 or 2
(loudness on a scale of 1-10)…..and is barely noticeable….sometimes
even abating for short periods. i am unaware of my “T” most of the time
(so used to it)….that it does not bother me or present any problems….i
can live with it so far…….. :-)

None of your business Asian has swags says:

Can u get it from drugs like medicine?

seeburg220 says:

Great. Tell us how to prevent tinnitus. As if someone other than a person
suffering from tinnitus, would have bothered watching this video in the
first place…Not helpful – at all. Where were you 30 years ago, when I
went to my first rock concert ??? Thought so. Crickets….

James McDonald says:

Im sorry this lady’s doctor suit does NOT make words coming out of her
mouth anything more than simply her opinion.
My tinnitus is quite, constant yet super high pitch ringing, and im told im
quite lucky that’s all it is. 3 years so far..and im only 25..god im
fucked.

Raed Darouaz says:

I don’t think that it may help to ease the tinnitus. The best way to get
rid of tinnitus is by getting a full tinnitus cure program. Ian McCall
launched his new”Tinnitus Remedy” guide and i heard that it’s highly
recommended by experts . good luck guys

Kay Bear says:

Is there a sinus condition that is associated with it?

shineyourlight says:

not appropriate to look so disconnected calm smiling from the suffering,
this is the trouble with the clinical person who treats sufferers as an
object, notice the white coat, the name tag, Frau Glockenshpiel

This is the opposite of helping

The beginning of the video with high pitched sound is GD annoying, even for
my cat. I’m the F*** out of here.

Ariashana asuna yuki says:

What if I can hear my own heartbeat?

JustDonda says:

Mine makes me angry because my ability to enjoy silence is completely gone.
I read that there is a link between tinnitus and nsaids, so I have stopped
my naproxen. I’d rather deal with pain than this damning noise. I hope it
goes away soon.

I’m in the same boat as you, had it for the past week or two. Its not
really loud, like when I’m watching tv I cannot hear it. Big problem is
when I’m trying to sleep. I’m not even to sure why or how I got it as I
havn’t been listening to loud music or anything recently!

Brian Hess says:

had it for 6 days now..it really sucks ,
high pitched beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep…….non stop

sandcastles73 says:

The noises in this video don’t bother me, I can turn it off. I can’t turn
my tinnitus off.

Machini18 says:

Be sure next time when posting a video about T leave the high pitch sounds
away because we all know what u mean. this high pitching sound will only
fight my tinnitus and not in a good way.

Tinnitus is different for everybody but i believe that the sience in the
nearby future will take care of some forms of T but not all. In the mean
time there can be done a lot about people getting T from concerts, disco’s
ect. Just like the campain about safe sex.

Azra Imširović says:

This is horrible! Do not listen to this one has some terrible sounds!

Harold Hart says:

TINNITUS IS THE BODY TELLING YOU THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG IN YOUR BODY SUCH
AS BAD TEETH OR A HERNIA AND NOT IN THE EARS.

Anne Oliver says:

good therapy

cjl85uk says:

It’s pretty much constantly there for me, since 2 years now… made me
notice a great deal more how we are constantly surrounded by sound anyway,
computer fans, fridge fans, air con fans… non stop… but even with ear
plugs to block the world noises from time to time, well, my internal
buzzing is right there.

Meditation and certain substances used, have given me some control,
sometimes… making the high pitch lower, make it quieter… sometimes I
try to make it higher pitch, but it gets rather scary as if I don’t know
what is beyond the high pitch… very thankful that its not 100% over
controlling of my life.

drbaker3000 says:

Why would you put that tone in the video??? Why!?!?

flick22601 says:

Another useless piece of advice by somebody who evidently doesn’t suffer
from tinnitus. I’ve used white noise generators to demonstrate to ‘hearing
professionals’ what I hear. If I turn the volume up to just below what I
am hearing, nobody will even enter the room I’m in. It is so loud that
playing it constantly will only destroy what hearing I have.

Jamie Hutber says:

On a video about how to ease symptoms I was a little shocked that they put
high pitched sounds in the video :(

Matt Crunk says:

I’ve experienced temporary tinnitus periodically throughout my life. When I
was young it was sort of disturbing to me, however I kept quiet about it.
Glad to find a video on the topic 🙂

Luke Brody says:

Gee thanks for those ear-splitting tones during the video, that really
helped my hearing.
