One in ten people in the UK have tinnitus, and for some, the ringing in their ears becomes so unbearable that many contemplate taking their own lives.
To give us an idea of what it’s like to suffer with the condition, Susanna Reid (who has mild tinnitus herself) wore an MP3 player to build the noises into her working day.
We’re also joined by Tracey Hudson, who developed tinnitus out of the blue nearly four years ago, and who says it pushed her to the edge; and Dr Hilary is here with tips on how to cope with it.
