Green Apple says:

i have tinnitus and i suffered depression because of this. it started last
March 2014 and until now, it’s still ringing. i’m no musician, im no music
lover, i was not exposed to loud noises, i don’t go parties. i’m a
certified loner and it’s just appeared while i was working at around 5:20
am..

robothawkgaming says:

I’m so happy mine only comes in bursts. Sorry about yours gav

SeadogDriftwood says:

I hope it’s improved since this.

Even if it hasn’t, it’s worth knowing that Beethoven suffered from it from
his 30s on — so historically, you’d be in good company.

lizichell2 says:

You may still be able to hear high frequencies is probably because the
hearing loss is at the same frequency as the tinnitus

I always protect my hearing and never go to bars pubs and clubs without ear
plugs that take off at least 25dB

lizichell2 says:

You music buds need to protect you hearing instead of trying to be hard men
and sticking your heads in loud speakers

tinoq21 says:

How is everything has ur tinnitus gone away ?

shtiken says:

I have it. It’s a never ending nightmare.

Will Moody says:

I definitely feel for you. To be honest, I hope you are able to read this
comment. I’ve had tinnitus for over three years, and i’m only 22. I don’t
believe I received it from hearing damage as my hearing has been better
than ever, ironically I was diagnosed with hyperacusis after the ringing
started. I believe it was due to an imbalance within the body due to
overuse of stimulants (caffeine and similar compounds). It’s non-stop, has
been ever since, the severity of the frequencies increasing and decreasing.
I send you my message not to discourage or encourage but mainly to let you
know that you are definitely not alone. I’ve had my good days and my bad
days, a good number bad, but the more and more that I learn i’m not alone,
excluding the feeling of schadendfreude, the more supported I feel. It’s
inspiring to learn that there are well known artists out there who suffer
with the same infliction and are able to continue creating without letting
their malady hold them back, and for that, I thank you.

mike capri says:

@myfren Thanks for sharing that wonderful program…My Tinnitus had
vanished. Gone in a matter of weeks. My hearing is also almost back to
normal!

whyuhatan says:

I have this thing too I’ve had to put up with it for years I’ve been told
there’s no treatment and that it will probably never go away I’m usually
only able to go to sleep if I have something on in the background making
noise

shtiken says:

Did it go away?

dj graves says:

I once got it from listening to my music through head fones it was loud cuz
it was dubstep

Nathaniel Teposo says:

Hey did, you also play FAR CRY 3??

BTW. I also have had a tinnitus and it kinda quite right now but if I’m in
full silence, it bugs the hell out of me.

Best wishes to you dude and have fun…

Haya xx says:

I can’t sleep without the air conditioner on because it covers the ringing
good luck

RPGtalkout says:

I really hope you get better man.

Haya xx says:

I’ve had it for a couple years

Daf lastname says:

=( hope it has lessened or disappeared since this video you make awesome
music!

Haya xx says:

Go get your ears cleaned from wax it will make it less annoying

Haya xx says:

Read “tinnitus miracle” the book helped people I just bought it

SomeIrishKid says:

Saw the title and immediately winced; the ringing in my ears is sometimes
annoying, but constantly and really loudly? Damn. Hope it clears up (or
already has).

87JuliR says:

Ear infections or eustachian tubes problems can give you tinnitus as
well… basically, any problem in the ear can give you tinnitus. I have it
in my left ear. I’ve had it for like a year and 7 months. If your hearing
is good then it’s all ok! Hearing loss is worse than tinnitus, in my view.

Der Yorijaki says:

Dude, i like u and ur music…. But i HATE ur chair xD in the most videos u
move arround with it …. 😀

MrShinywill says:

I have the exact same thing but mine pretty quiet and I only hear it when
it’s no noise around me. But it is fucking annoying and trying to sleep is
hard, I believe I was born with it because i do not no how nothing sounds.
witch might sound weird but have no memory of it ever being dead quiet.

SteveVon7 says:

Gavin, I’m sure someone on some other video may have asked, but I was just
curious, is your tinnitus improving? I REALLY hope it does, good luck!

segert vorster says:

we hope you manage to live with it. or i have an idea. since you can’t stop
the ringing maybe you put divices in your ears. with a calming sound and
then you dont concentrate on the ringing anymore

David Thurber says:

I have that problem too, Gavin, I hope yours gets better. I’ve had mine for
years and it changes in volume periodically. Gets to me too in quiet area,
but I’ve learned to handle it for about an hour, before I have to have
background noise. I can also still hear things that other people miss.
(faucet drip, tape drag, cold display case coming out of defrost, and my
favorite, phone-off-the-hook beeping from across the room). Get well soon.

DarkBurster says:

i have it too but luckily the ringing is not that loud i feel ya dude D:

lil_rebbitzen says:

Ugh My mom has it too. I hope it’s not permanent. Take your time, we’ll be
here supporting you no matter what 🙂

nomorecalibrations says:

I wish you all the best, Gavin! Your songs have been bringing me much joy
on my iPod for almost a year now. I even turned my little bro onto your
work and he loves it too. Get well soon! Miracle needs a miracle!

Vleetch1 says:

So is it permanent?

Sehad says:

My heart is with you man.

Thomas T. Sørensen says:

Well it might not be a cure, but it removes the symptoms at least. I’m no
expert on it, but as far as I know you can make the tinnitus go silent by
figuring out what frequency it is and then playing that frequency in
antiphase. It doesn’t work for everyone and doesn’t really cure it, but
it’s not snake oil.

Blocodents says:

Rise from your grief, gav, before it grows into your bane

Roadripper55 says:

hey Gav try this /watch?v=oxt368FWvew its a 6 hour tinnitus therapy

Felipe De Souza says:

I’m not sure if mine is permanent, but I had it for so long I’m pretty sure
it is .

The Youngest Tzar says:

On twitter he said it was sadly permanent, but he won’t let it change him.

S Meehan says:

Man i have it, You actually stop noticing it

TheADZeus says:

i really hope it goes away.

TheLordmarmalade says:

its a rotten condition, give it enough time and it will get a bit better,
slowly, I know in your clip you said that you dont have hearing loss – take
anything that audiologists tell you in that regard with a pinch of salt
based on a crude audiogram. There is typically hearing damage, and many
with tinnitus also have hyperacusis. Needs better therapies than we have at
the moment, its a difficult subject to study but there has been many recent
advances.

JJDemon says:

I have it, It’s perm. You get use to it.

LuCkySharak says:

Sucks it sucks

nightmareguy123 says:

i had tinnitus but its gone now

homeskillet11j says:

I feel sorry for you bro

GUNSHOTBULL3T says:

It will never get better…

jfu222 says:

I think you too will be able to habituate with more time. For me, I changed
my diet, exercise, and I forced myself to push through the moments where
other sounds drove me crazy (hyperacusis) it happens with tinnitus. So when
i felt like running and hiding away (ex. loud coversation) I hung in
there.I think I was able to habituate a little faster. Anyway, I wish you
all the best and hope that you are able to keep your spirits up and fight
for your happiness. It makes all the difference

coldplay261021 says:

Do you still have it?? If so I will tell you how i got rid of mine.

primodragoneitaliano says:

Indeed. The trick is not focusing on it. I do have tinnitus as well and I
simply listen to music all day long or just make sure that where I am isn’t
dead silent.

HellRaiser says:

I’d slam my head Into walls until it went away

Wolfsrahm says:

Then you might want to lower your sound output.
