William Shatner recounts his experience when he first got his tinnitus, how it impacted him and the help that the American Tinnitus Association (ATA) gave to him. He encourages all with the condition to contribute toward the mission of ATA, which is to find a cure for tinnitus. Both William Shatner and the scientific community researching tinnitus believe that this is now possible, and can be expedited by contributions to ATA who are trailblazers in the world of tinnitus research. www.ata.org

sonicpsychiatry says:

I developed tinnitus at the age of 27 after a skull fracture from an
unprovoked assault/robbery, when I was jumped, knocked down, and had my
skull fractured. The only thing that helps is a benzodiazepine;
specifically Xanax. I take 2mg at night before going to bed. It’s the only
thing that helps. I’m hopeful more money is allocated for research for a
proper cure for this insidious ailment. It would be nice to know silence
again.

Im 61 and This started with me 5 years ago, and I was told there was
Nothing that could be done. I took medication, herbs and just about
everything and nothing helps. I though i was going crazy, and that I would
never be able to take never having silence at night. Thanks for all that
you do Bill, I would love to meet and talk with you some day about this
