WOWAH!!! Really? My tinnitus started in Auguest 2011 as well! And got worse
in September!!! Small world..I have it in both years though. It did start
with mostly just my left, but now its both:( really wish there was a cure
and more funding for finding such a cure(s)

Amazing video man. I’ve had tinnitus for nearly four years now. I’m deaf on
the left ear and have a bad tinnitus/hearing aid on my right one since a
year and a half. This spring my tinnitus got nearly unbearable after a
night of partying in a club in Amsterdam (I did tap my ear but apparently
not well enough). I know I am one of the very severe cases but as you said
I start enjoying the little things in life more and value what I have. Also
well said no one should be ashamed for protecting themselves against
hearing loss. I totally agree that the research must be extended as noise
pollution will only increase in the years to come.

I use “Quietus”..not sure where to buy it? My dad just surprised me with it
on my birthday of my senior year of high school and it does work but only
sometimes.

Thanks for sharing. I’ve been living with tinnitus in my left ear for four
months now. Mine started for no apparent reason. I laid down in bed one
night, and noticed my ear was ringing. And it just never went away.
Sometimes I barely notice it, other times I feel like my life is ruined.
Glad to know I’m not alone, though. I’ve heard of some people who had it
for years, and it went away. You never know.

I’ve had tinnitus for over three and a half years. I got hurt at work due
to an insensitive and narcissistic manager. I have two ringings in both
ears, one pulsatile. It is loud and constant. It takes me hours to go to
sleep and I get maybe three to four hours of sleep each night. I am so
tired of people saying that you get used to it. I didn’t. I also have
hearing loss in both ears. I went to an ENT and he said, I have to live
with it. I don’t call this living. Good luck!

RonnieJ5 says:

I’ve read about a study where they actually were able to regrow the hair
cells within the cochlea of a rat and cure it of tinnitus. The only setback
was that the new cochlea was prone to causing cancer. I bet if they wanted,
they could cure tinnitus. If funding wasn’t so poor for as long as it’s
been, i bet they could have worked out the bugs and we would have a cure by
now. I wish congress would recognize tinnitus as the life changing
condition that it is and take funding seriously.
